Natural Skin Remedy
We all get problems with our skin and sometimes it's hard to afford all these branded facial cleansers, exfoliators, moisturizers, toners etc. Maybe you didn't realise that the solution to your skin (and money) problems is hidden in your fridge...
Hmmm fridge? Yes that's right!!
I swear by this face mask! All you need is honey, oatmeal and natural yoghurt! This face mask is suitable for all skin types, even for sensitive skin. I have extremely sensitive skin so it's hard to find something that will clear my skin without leaving it dry, sore and itchy. This face mask will cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. It is great if you are prone to breakouts, have acne scars or suffer from dry skin.
Before I tell you how to make it, I'm going to explain what each ingredient does to help your skin. Honey has strong anti-bacterial and anti-flammatory properties which heals and clears acne. Natural yoghurt has been fermented and so it contains lactic acids. These lactic acids clear dirt an impurities by exfoliating. The natural yoghurt will also heal blemishes, moisturize and even out skin tone Oatmeal is an AMAZING (as you will know from my previous post), it gently exfoliates your skin, protects it from free radicals and cleans it to leave it feeling soft.
Preparation:
1 tbsp oatmeal, finely ground
1 tbsp live, natural yogurt (NO flavored stuff!)
A few drops of honey
Add the yogurt to the oatmeal in a small bowl and mix together. Warm a few drop of honey. To do this, warm a spoon under hot water for a minute, then add a few drops of honey to the spoon. Stir the honey into the yogurt and oatmeal mixture.
THEN....
Apply the mask to the face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
Don't forget to moisturize afterwards-to lock in moisture!!
I LOVE Oatmeal!!
Oatmeal is amazing and I want to tell you why you should wash your face with it!!
Sounds strange, huh? But trust me! My skin has been ever grateful since I discovered oatmeal!!

Oatmeal is an amazing cleanser, it relieves redness, dryness and irritations. It gently exfoliates the skin leaving you with a brighter complexion! It also absorbs and removes dirt and impurities. Oatmeal is high in antioxidants so it protects your skin from free radicals. It is anti-inflammatory which means it has the ability to soothe itchy skin!
Another benefit is that it is SUPER cheap!
How do you wash your face with it?
-Open your hand and wet any oatmeal that is still dry.
-Squeeze the oatmeal in your fist so that a milky/oatmealy liquid runs out of your hand (you can actually squeeze this into your other hand and wipe it over your face, so nothing goes to waste).
-Spread the oatmeal over your face and rub as you normally would with any other cleanser.
-Do this for a minute or two and then rinse off.
Feel how your skin is now really soft and clean!!
The only down side is that it can be messy!
First Post!
Welcome to my beauty blog and my first post EVER!
I hope you find my blog inspirational and useful, I'm excited to share my interests with you!
Why did I start this PikaBeauty blog?
Well, recently I have been facing difficulties in my life. I was always stressed and never had time to appreciate the good things in life. I constantly felt bad about myself, I know I'm not the only one who has been through hard times and in need of a confidence boost. Beauty isn't just about make-up, hair and fashion, it comes from within. Now, I'm not saying we should not bother with make-up, doing our hair or dressing up (because it is fun to dress up!) but beauty is also about feeling good on the inside. I want to share information, tips and advice for feeling beautiful inside and out. I also hope for my blog to be a place where people can share their feelings and ask for advice!
This is new to me so wish me luck!
